Frey Takes Another Hit.
Oprah Winfrey Calls Defense of Author 'a Mistake': "In an extraordinary reversal of her strident and angry defense of the author whose book she catapulted to the top of the best-seller list, Oprah Winfrey said today she believed that the author James Frey 'betrayed millions of people' by making up elements of his life in his best-selling memoir, 'A Million Little Pieces.' ... She added that she believed 'I made a mistake' when she said that the truth of the book mattered less then its story of redemption."

Well it has long been my theory that Oprah recieves boatloads of payola from publishers to put their books on her "List".
The richest woman in North America didn't get that way, doing one little damn thing out of the goodness of her greedy, man-hating heart.
So, I wonder if she had to pay the payola money back now.. is that why the bad mood? A nickle had to come out of her pocket?
I am truly upset by the smoke and mirrors show this lady has going on. Eg.-Pontiac donates cars to be given away on her show.. people perceive that it is HER giving these things out of the kindness of her heart....
Makes me kind of sick. Sort of like extolling hero worship on the person spooning out soup at the soup kitchen.... I don't get it.
Her money obviously never gets out of her pocket..
