IMDB says he's playing "Bernard". Isn't that the name of the husband of the black woman (who we haven't seen in forever) who is insisting he's still alive? If so, I'm thinking there's a part of the plane that landed on another part of the island, and there are survivors there. Stick with me here...the black woman (what the heck's her name?) said that her husband was in the tail section, right? The girl who met Jack in the bar at the airport during the flashback last week said she was sitting in the back of the plane, too, right? And she was played by Michelle Rodriguez who is also going to be in the season premiere.

Unless they're both going to be in flashbacks, I think my theory might be a good one.
