Turns out, I know nothing about any of those shows other than Life on Mars is a remake of a British show and the Mentalist looks like Psyche. I actually gave Raising the Bar (on TNT) a shot and liked it a lot more than I thought I would. But then, I'm such a sucker for courtroom drama. :D
I'm with you, Jill. I know little about the new season of shows. I don't think I want to watch a vampire show,(I think they jumped in at the 'Twighlight'series' success) but I think Life on Mars sounds kind of interesting.
Jill, I have been gorging myself on L&O on TNT this past week, and I swear, I saw that Raising the Bar promo so many times, I hate the show without ever having seen it! Every time that snot-nosed Mark Paul Gosselaar and his stupid haircut gets in that guy's face and yells "You wanna hit a lawyer?!" I'm like, "YES! I wanna hit a lawyer! I want to punch you right in the face!" LOL
It may very well turn out to be a decent show, but TNT's incessant promos killed it for me.
Life on Mars has been sort of a troubled production, with a lot of last-minute cast changes, etc., so I'm a bit worried about it. I may just rent the DVD of the original BBC production, which is supposed to be really good.
LOL! I almost didn't watch the show because I hated the promos soooooooooooo much. And the "you want to hit a lawyer" line I was all, "What's so wrong about hitting a lawyer???" LOL So yeah, I hate the promos to death, which is probably why I was a little surprised I liked the show as much as I did, especially for a pilot.
Wow, it looks like Life on Mars is edging out the rest. I was thinking Fringe would have come out in front for this blog, considering the number of XF and LOST fans I have as readers. Interesting.
