Well, that wasn't too bad.

I still need to clean up and categorize the archives by month, add some color to the page, fix comments, etc., but I think I'll go with this template.

Actually, it's me, Esther, before we go any further. lol Do you have to have a Blogger account for posting comments, now? Just curious. If so, then I'll sign up for one. I'm just asking, as I clicked 'Comment', and it took me to Blogger.com to log in, and asked me for my password.

Anyhoo, the change will take some getting used to. I agree, it needs some color, and I'm still kinda iffy on the font. Otherwise, I like the minimalism of it. Not that your other layout was messy. lol ;-)

Not sure about the comments. I was surprised that they were hosted here at blogger. I'll look into it some more and let you know how it works. I may end up switching over to a third party, like blogback.

I'll be re-incorporatin the elements from my old page, too - the right hand links, the "reading", "watching" and "playing" sections, etc. A little bit at a time. ;)
