Marty's on the mend, we hope.

When last we spoke, Marty was fighting a UTI and the effects of his antibiotic. He seemed to do better once he was off the antibiotic, but then his symptoms returned. He had x-rays taken and it turned out the little guy had 6 bladder stones, which were going to have to be removed surgically.

He was scheduled for surgery on Thursday, Dec 8, but his x-rays that day showed that he had passed 4 of the stones himself in the 3 days since his first x-ray. So no surgery for Marty, yet, but he is on a special diet (which he loves) and a painkiller. He has more x-rays on Thursday this week, when we'll see if he's passed the other two stones.

In the meantime, he's more snuggly than usual and has taken to peeing in the house. We're hoping that the reason for that is physical and not behavioral. We'll just have to keep on top of him - take him out much more often and follow him around with paper towels and a bottle of Fantastic inside - and hope he recovers soon.

He's still a good boy, though.
