We watched the first three episodes of HBO's Extras last night. The first one, with Orlando Bloom, was just alright, but they got funnier as they went along.
The best part of the second episode, by far, was David Bowie writing a new song on the spot after hearing Andy's sob story about selling out for his new "shitcom" on the BBC:
"The little man who sold his soul...sold his dreams
The clown that no one laughs at...
He sold his soul for a shot of fame
Catchphrase and wig and the jokes are lame
He's got no style and he's got no grace
He's banal and facile...
The little fat man with the pug nose..."
We were able to see the third episode because HBO puts them up On Demand a week before they air, which was awesome. If you haven't seen Extras, this is the one to watch: Harry Potter hits on every woman on the set, Andy kicks dwarf Warwick Davis, and Diana Rigg ends up with a condom on her head. Now, I ask you, what more could you ask for in a half hour show? It's on HBO OnDemand right now and will have its first airing on HBO on this Sunday night at 10:00 P.M.

We have HBO OnDemand and a DVR - I could record all the episodes (half hour each) and you could come over on a Friday or Saturday night and hang out and watch them...
